Microsoft Teams integration: tender notifications in a channel
Tenderen sends your notifications — new tender matches, deadline reminders and changes to tenders you follow — to a Microsoft Teams channel through an incoming-webhook URL that you paste under Settings → Notifications.
Best for: Organisations that run on Microsoft 365 and want tender notifications in the team channel where bids are discussed.
What gets posted
Each notification arrives as a card with a title, the message and, when it concerns a tender, a button that opens the tender in Tenderen.
- New tenders that match your alerts
- Deadline reminders for tenders you follow
- Changes to tenders you follow, such as a new deadline or new documents
- Reminders for requirement items assigned to you
Set it up
- In Microsoft Teams, add an Incoming Webhook to the channel that should receive notifications and copy the URL it gives you.
- In Tenderen, go to Settings → Notifications, turn on Microsoft Teams and paste the URL.
- Save, then send a test notification to check that the card arrives.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing arrives: check that the full URL was pasted and that Microsoft Teams is turned on. Tenderen refuses URLs that point at internal or unsafe addresses.
- Your organisation has turned off incoming webhooks: ask your Teams administrator to allow them for the channel. Tenderen needs an incoming webhook to post.
Limits
- Part of the Pro and Enterprise plans.
- One webhook URL per user. All of that user's notifications go to the same channel.
- The category switches under Settings → Notifications apply to email; Teams receives every notification Tenderen sends you.
- Notifications are one-way. You cannot act on a tender from Teams.
Frequently asked questions
- Can several people send notifications to the same channel?
- Yes. Each user pastes the same webhook URL in their own notification settings.
