Competitor award analysis sheet

Record every award in your market — buyer, winner, value, number of bids and how the award criteria were weighted — in one sheet. After a few months you can see who wins, at what price level and on which criteria. Download the columns below as CSV and open them in Excel or Google Sheets.

How to use it

  1. Find award notices on Doffin and TED. They name the winner and often the contract value and the number of bids received.
  2. If you bid yourself, add what the award letter says about your score compared with the winner's.
  3. To understand a win in detail, you can ask the buyer for access to the documents; trade secrets are redacted.
  4. Add one row per award and sort by winner, buyer or CPV code.
