What is a contract award (tildeling)?
A contract award (tildeling) is the public buyer's decision on which supplier gets the contract. Every bidder is told in writing with the reasons, and above the thresholds a standstill period runs before the contract is signed, so losing bidders can complain.
What the award letter tells you
- Who won, and the reasons for the choice
- The characteristics and relative advantages of the winning bid compared with yours
- When the standstill period ends
After the award
If you think the award is wrong, complain to the buyer within the standstill period. You can also ask for access to the documents to understand how the winner was scored. Award notices are published on Doffin and TED and show who won.
How Tenderen uses award data
Tenderen imports award notices every night. Market Radar (Pro) shows who wins in your CPV codes, competitor profiles with contracts won and top buyers, and contracts nearing their end date.
Frequently asked questions
- How long is the standstill period?
- Normally at least 10 days from when the award letter is sent. The letter states the exact end date.
