What to watch for

  • Many state and municipal IT contracts use the government's standard agreements (SSA), for example SSA-B for consulting assistance, SSA-D for operations and SSA-S for agile development. Your solution and price usually go in the appendices.
  • Consulting is often bought through framework agreements, followed by call-offs or mini-competitions. Getting onto the framework is the gate to the work.
  • Consulting assignments are often scored on the CVs of the people you offer, so keep CVs current and easy to adapt.
