• Norwegian construction contracts are usually based on the NS standards — NS 8405 or NS 8406 when the buyer has done the design, NS 8407 for design and build. Reservations against the standard terms are risky.
• Public contracts in construction must include requirements on pay and working conditions, and many larger works also require the use of apprentices.
